614 Be 516 // June 2025

In Matthew 5:16 Jesus says to his followers, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

614 might be our community, but Matthew 5:16 is our calling no matter where we are. In the month of June our outreach emphasis is simple, 614 is to go and be 516. We know June is a busy travel month, so whether you are on vacation, at the ballfield, visiting family, or are one of those on the Guatemala missions team, we are called to go and be the light of the world.

614, we invite you to go and be 516.

There are 3 primary ways to engage in our June outreach
1. Go and Be.
On your way into church this month scan the QR code at the entrance or grab a sticker. The QR code will send you a background for your phone that you can save and set for this month. Let is serve as a reminder to intentionally reflect the Light wherever you are. 

2. Support our Guatemala Team.
The Refinery is sending 16 people to our Refinery Life Center in La Planada, Guatemala this month. While there they will be putting on a community VBS for over 150 kids. Grab a rear view mirror hanger at the Serve Our City table as your reminder to pray for team and for those in the village who may not know Jesus. 

3. Kairos Prison Ministry
This June we are partnering with Kairos Prison Ministry. Kairos aims to serve those in prison, families who have loved ones in prison, and incarcerated youth.  The hope is to connect those who follow Jesus with the incarcerated community, offering hope, reconciliation, and a reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Kairos has opportunities to serve for adults, youth, and children! On Sunday June 22 and June 29 Kairos will have be joining us at the church, giving you a chance to see how you might be able to partner with them. We hope you consider!
